Terms of Service
Last updated 18 August 2026. These terms cover your use of AI Caption Cut at aicaptioncut.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are written to be read.
What the service is
AI Caption Cut is software that runs in your browser and adds captions to your video, cuts it, crops it, grades it and exports an MP4. There is no account, and nothing is installed.
Because it runs on your device, what it can do depends on your device and your browser. A long video on an older phone may be slow, or may run out of memory. We work to keep the requirements low, but we cannot promise that a particular file will process on a particular machine.
Your video is your responsibility
You keep every right in the video you caption. We never receive it, so we acquire nothing in it.
You are responsible for having the right to use the footage, the music and anything else in the file, and for what you do with the result. Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to produce material that infringes someone else’s rights.
Your projects live in your browser’s storage. Clearing that storage, switching browsers or working in a private window will lose them. Keep the exported file — that is your copy.
Free use and paid exports
Editing is free and unlimited. So is exporting: there is no cap on how many videos you export, how long they are or how large the file is.
Free exports render at 480p and carry a small aicaptioncut.com watermark. Nothing is counted and nothing runs out: the watermark is what a payment removes.
Two things are sold. A single export unlock removes the watermark and raises the resolution for that one video, as a one-off payment. A 30-day pass does the same for every video you export within thirty days, bought once. Neither is a subscription: nothing recurs, no card is stored, and there is nothing to cancel. The price is shown before you pay.
Payment is processed by Razorpay. An unlock applies to the export you paid for, and re-exporting that same project afterwards never costs again. When and how payments are refunded is set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy at aicaptioncut.com/refund.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Speech-to-text is automatic and will misread words, particularly with heavy background noise, people talking over each other, or an unfamiliar accent — read the captions before you post. We do not promise the site will be available uninterrupted or free of faults.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost footage or projects, or for anything else arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes, and the law that applies
The service changes as it is developed, and these terms may change with it; the date at the top says when. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Questions
Is there a subscription?
No. Editing and exporting are free and unlimited, at 480p with a small watermark. What is sold is a one-off unlock for a single video, or a 30-day pass bought once. Nothing recurs and no card is stored, so there is nothing to cancel.
Who owns the videos I make?
You do, entirely. The file never reaches us, so we hold no rights in it and make no claim to it.
What if the captions come out wrong?
Speech-to-text is automatic and imperfect. Every word is editable — double-click it in the editor and type the correction — and it is worth reading the captions through before posting.
