Word-by-word captions, free and made in your browser
One word on screen at a time, each appearing exactly when it is said. It is the densest, most attention-holding caption style there is, and the one most short-form creators reach for first.

How word-by-word captions work
Every word carries its own start and end from the transcription, so the line is rebuilt on each one. Nothing is guessed or evenly spaced — a long word holds longer because it was spoken longer.
Nothing is uploaded
The transcription, the styling and the final render all run on your own machine. There is no server in the middle, no queue and no account — open the video, generate the captions, download the file.
You do not have to take that on trust: open the network tab in your browser while captions are generating and watch it stay empty.
Change anything you like
The style is a starting point. Font, size, colour, highlight, position and animation stay editable once it is applied, and every change is previewed on your own footage rather than on a stock clip.
Questions
Are word-by-word captions free?
Yes. Every style is free, and free exports are unlimited at 480p with a small watermark. Paying once for a video removes the watermark and unlocks higher resolutions.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There is no account, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Can I export the subtitles as a file?
Yes — captions download as .srt or .vtt, as well as being burned into the video.
