Edit your video without knowing how to edit
Editing software assumes you already know what a keyframe is. This does the parts that take practice — timing the captions, finding the cuts, framing for a phone, fixing the colour — and leaves you the parts that only need an opinion.
The four things beginners get stuck on
Captions are the first. Typing subtitles by hand takes roughly an hour per ten minutes of footage, and getting them to change on the right syllable is the part nobody manages. Speech-to-text runs on your device and returns captions already timed to the word — you read them, fix a name it misheard, and move on.
Cutting is the second. The clip finder reads the transcript and proposes the moments worth keeping, and auto-cut removes silences and filler. Both give you a timeline you can drag, not a finished file you have to accept.
Framing is the third: a 16:9 camera video is the wrong shape for Reels, and cropping by hand loses the person. Auto reframe follows the subject so the crop keeps them in frame.
Colour is the fourth. Auto correct sets the black and white points, moves the exposure somewhere sensible and takes out an obvious cast — then every value lands in a slider you can argue with.
What it does not do
It does not write your video, pick your music or decide what the story is. It does not turn a clip nobody wants to watch into one they do. Anything sold to you on that promise is selling a template with your footage inside it.
What it removes is the practice, not the judgement. You still choose the take, the words that matter and the look — those choices are the reason the video is yours.
Nothing to install, nothing to learn first
It runs in the browser, so there is no download, no account and no trial to start. Drop a video in and the editor is already open at the point where the work begins.

Do I need any video editing experience?
No. The steps that need practice — caption timing, finding the cuts, cropping to a phone shape, colour correction — each have a button that does a first pass, and everything it produces is editable afterwards.
Is it really free?

How long does it take to learn?
The first captioned clip usually takes a few minutes, most of which is the speech-to-text running. There is no tutorial to watch first; if a control needs explaining before you can use it, that is a fault of the control.
