How to do it

Open the editor and add your video, then go to Colour. Import your .cube file, and the preview updates on the frame you are looking at. Dial the strength down if the look is heavier than the shot wants — most LUTs are built for footage graded flat first, and a stronger camera profile needs less of them.

Export when it looks right. The same lookup that drew the preview draws every exported frame, so the file matches what you approved.

What a LUT actually is, and when it will disappoint you

A 3D LUT is a cube of colour values: for every input colour it names an output colour, and the renderer interpolates between the points it has. That is why it can do things sliders cannot — shifting only the shadows toward teal while leaving skin alone — and why it cannot fix exposure. A LUT maps colour to colour; it has no idea your shot was two stops under.

So the order matters: correct first, then grade. Get the exposure and white balance close, then put the look on top. A cinematic LUT dropped on an underexposed clip produces a muddy, underexposed clip with a colour cast.

Log footage and camera profiles

LUTs sold for a camera usually expect that camera’s log profile — S-Log3, V-Log, C-Log — which looks flat and grey straight out of the camera because it is carrying more range than a screen shows. Applied to already-contrasty phone footage, the same LUT is far too strong.

If your video came from a phone, start the strength around a third and work up. If it is genuine log footage, full strength is usually the intent.

Nine built-in looks if you have no LUT

Natural, Cinematic, Warm, Faded, Urban, Moody, Vibrant, Teal Orange and Mono are included, each with its own strength control. They are a starting point rather than a substitute for a LUT built for your camera, and they cost nothing to try on the actual shot.

Questions

Which LUT formats can I use?

The .cube format, which is what almost every LUT pack ships. Both 1D and 3D cubes parse, at any size — 17, 33 and 65-point tables are the common ones. Formats like .3dl and .look are not read; converting them to .cube first is a one-step job in most free converters.

Is the LUT uploaded anywhere?

No — neither the LUT nor the video. The .cube file is read as text in the page and turned into a texture your GPU samples. A LUT you paid for stays yours.

Why does my LUT look too strong?

Most LUTs assume log footage, which is flat and low-contrast to begin with. Phone and camera video is already contrasty, so the same LUT stacks contrast on contrast. Drop the strength to about a third and it usually falls into place.

Can I apply a LUT and captions in one export?

Yes. Grading is part of the same editor, so the grade and the captions are drawn into the same frames in one pass — you are not exporting twice and losing quality on the second run.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in a mobile browser. The lookup runs on the phone’s GPU, which handles it comfortably; a long export is still easier on a laptop.
