A free AI caption generator that runs on your device

Most caption generators make you upload your video, create an account, and pick a subscription before you see a single word. AI Caption Cut does none of that. Add a video and speech-to-text generates timed captions right in your browser — free, private, and with no sign-up.

How the captions are generated

A speech-to-text model runs on your own device and transcribes what is said, with timing for every word. That word-level timing is what makes karaoke-style highlighting line up as each word is spoken.

Pick the spoken language before you generate and the timing lands more accurately. Every word is editable afterwards, so a name or a bit of slang the model missed takes a second to fix.

Style them like the videos that do well

Captions are only half the job — the look is the other half. There are 30+ templates covering the trending short-form styles: bold word-by-word pops, a clean cinematic serif, boxed highlights, and more, all with entrance animations.

You control the font, size, colour, outline, position and per-word accent font, so the captions match your brand instead of looking like every other tool’s default.

Free, with nothing metered

AI Caption Cut is free to use with unlimited 480p exports that carry a small watermark. Removing the watermark is a one-off payment per video — ₹39 for 720p, ₹59 for 1080p (Full HD). There is no subscription and no account.

The reason is architectural, not generous. Cloud caption tools rent GPUs by the minute, so every minute of your video costs them money — which is why their plans meter you by video length, upload size or credits. AI Caption Cut renders on your own device, so a longer video costs us nothing. There is no meter to run.

Questions

Is this caption generator really free?

AI Caption Cut is free to use with unlimited 480p exports that carry a small watermark. Removing the watermark is a one-off payment per video — ₹39 for 720p, ₹59 for 1080p (Full HD). There is no subscription and no account.

Does it upload my video to generate captions?

No. The speech-to-text runs on your own device, so your video is read from your disk and never sent anywhere. That also means no upload wait and no file-size limit.

Can I export the captions as an SRT file?

Yes. You can export a burned-in MP4, or a subtitle file (.srt / .vtt) to use elsewhere. You can also import an existing SRT/VTT to restyle it.

Which languages can it caption?

Speech-to-text supports a dozen or so languages, including English and Hindi/Hinglish. Pick the spoken language before generating for the best timing.
