Find the moments worth cutting

Generate captions and Find clips reads the transcript, then ranks the passages that stand up on their own: one that opens on a hook, stays on a single subject and finishes its sentence. Each suggestion says why it was picked, so you can disagree with it.

If you already know the moment you want, type the times instead — or Shift-drag the timeline ruler to sweep it out. Mark as many as you like and they are joined in order, so three moments from across an hour become one clip.

Make a landscape shot fit a vertical frame

Cropping 16:9 to 9:16 throws away two thirds of the width, and a fixed centre crop is only right while the subject stands in the middle of it. Auto-reframe watches the recording on your device and moves the crop to follow whoever is speaking.

It detects the cuts between camera angles and frames each shot on its own subject rather than averaging them — and it never pans across a cut, because the edit already moved the camera for you.

For an interview where both people matter, Split stacks two crops of the same wide shot, Trio three, and Spotlight gives one the room and the other a strip beneath. Each pane is dragged on the preview to choose what it frames.

Cut the dead air

Auto-cut finds the long pauses and the filler words and removes them in one undoable edit, with the captions and sounds following the footage. Ninety seconds of talking becomes seventy seconds of it.

Nothing is uploaded, however long the recording

The transcription, the reframing and the final render all run on your own machine. A two-hour recording is never uploaded, never queued behind anyone else, and never counted against a credit balance — because there is no server doing the work.
