There is no subscription, no trial that expires and no account to make. The editor is free to use for as long as you like, and you only pay when you want one particular video exported without the watermark.
Free — unlimited, and not a trial
Everything in the editor is free: automatic captions, all 43 caption styles, animations, colour grading, auto-reframe, clip finding, trimming and sound effects. Nothing is held back for a paid tier.
Free exports are 480p and carry a small AI Caption Cut watermark in the corner. There is no limit on how many you make, how long your video is, or how many projects you keep.
Paid — ₹39 or ₹59, once, for that video
₹39 removes the watermark and exports at 720p. ₹59 exports at 1080p (Full HD) and includes the subtitle file as .srt and .vtt.
It is a one-off payment for that video rather than a plan. Nothing renews, no card is stored, and re-exporting the same project afterwards costs nothing.
Why it is not a monthly plan
The reason is architectural rather than generous. Cloud caption tools rent GPUs by the minute, so every minute of your footage costs them money — which is why they meter you by video length, upload size or credits, and why that meter has to keep running whether you are using it or not.
AI Caption Cut renders on your own device. A longer video costs us nothing, so there is no meter to run and no reason to bill you every month for a video you are not making.
What paying actually changes
Only the export. The watermark comes off, the resolution goes up, and the subtitle file is included at 1080p. Every editing feature is already yours before you pay anything — which means you can finish the whole video and watch it back before deciding whether it is worth the money.
Questions
Is there really a free tier, or is it a trial?
Genuinely free, and it does not expire. Unlimited 480p exports with a small watermark, no account and no card. The paid option is per video and entirely optional.
Do I pay per video or per month?
Per video, once. ₹39 for 720p, or ₹59 for 1080p with the subtitle file. There is no subscription to cancel because there is no subscription.
If I re-export the same video, do I pay again?
No. Once a video is paid for, exporting it again — after fixing a typo, say — is free.
Are any caption styles or features behind the paywall?
No. All 43 styles, every animation, colour grading, auto-reframe and clip finding are free. Paying changes the export only.
How do I pay?
Through Razorpay, in the browser, at the moment you export. No account is created.
